The Partnerships Edition of the Together We Can Contest Series is now closed. Explore the content below to learn more about Lions Clubs International Foundation's (LCIF) partnerships with other foundations and non-profit organizations.
Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) and LDS Charities are collaborating on a three-year SightFirst eye care capacity building project in Ubaté, Colombia, which will serve 8,000 new patients. Services will include general eye health screenings, cataract surgeries, laser treatments for patients with diabetic retinopathy, and glaucoma examinations for low income individuals and families.
LDS Charities will provide funding to purchase a portion of the surgical equipment for the facility. LCIF will lead capacity building efforts, by training more than 300 medical professionals, Lions volunteers, and government leaders in topics related to eye health, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. Together, this partnership will provide a long-term, sustainable impact on eye health in the area.
This contest ran from April 1–30, 2018. Lucky winners of this and other months' contests will receive an exclusive LCIF 50th Anniversary medal, plus an invitation to LCIF recognition events at the Lions Clubs International Convention in Las Vegas (travel and convention registration not included).
Congratulations to the winners of the Together We Can Contest: Partnerships Edition! Enter this month's contest for your chance to join them.
